New Delhi: Honda is planning to introduce their new electric vehicle by the end of the decade, and the two-wheeler giant have even released the first teaser of their first-ever high-performance electric motorcycle before its September 2nd 2025, debut worldwide. The new teaser also gives details on the styling and appears to be like the previously revealed EV Fun concept.
The Honda EV Fun concept previewed a 500 cc equivalent performance electric motorcycle, with the branding hinting at about 50 bhp from the motor. The forthcoming Honda electric bike could also have a similar number with good torque.
Further, it comes with LED DRL, bar-end mirrors, clip-on handlebars and a large TFT screen. The bike gets quite an aggressive riding posture. The electric motorcycle will also have CCS2 fast charging, making it compatible with the fast chargers used for electric cars.
While details about it are limited at present, it is expected to arrive in Europe first and then follow to other developing markets. At present, in India, Honda is moving into the domestic EV segment with their locally made electric scooters, the QC1 and Active e and is unlikely to bring this anytime soon.
The brand might introduce the e-bike on a larger scale once the market is ready for this product. It will compete in India with the made-in-India Ultraviolette F77, which is on sale in Europe.
