New Delhi: Jeep India have announced the launch of the Compass Track Edition, a limited-run special edition of their premium SUV. It comes upon their top-of-the-line S variant of Compass and mixes the amazing features of the exterior detailing along with luxurious interior upgrades, coming with a unique expression style with Jeep’s legendary DNA still intact.
On the inside, the cabin comes with all-new Tupelo Leatherette Seats, Dark Espresso Smoke Chrome finishes, Spruce Beige contrast stitching, Tupelo vinyl accents, which are embossed with the Jeep logo and Track Edition floor mats. It also comes with a Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel and Piano Black inserts.
Outside, the Compass Track Edition gets a signature hood decal, Piano Black detailing on the grille, badges and oldings, along with the exclusive Track Edition insignia. Further, it gets 18-inch diamond-cut Tech Grey alloy wheels and contrasting Spruce Beige highlights, completing the overall aggressive look, with the SUV coming with a differentiated presence on the road as well.
Business Head and Director of Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, Kumar Priyesh noted, “With the Compass Track Edition, we’re offering our customers an even more elevated SUV experience that reflects their individuality. Every detail has been carefully designed to create a sense of exclusivity, while staying rooted in Jeep’s DNA of capability, performance, and adventure.”
In India, the Jeep Compass is one of the brand’s best foot put forward so far, and is a very popular option. It comes in a heavily packed segment but is one of the more premium cars while delivering a quality off-road experience. It comes with five colour options: Pearl White, Brilliant Black, Techno Metallic Green, Exotica Red and Grigio Magnesio Grey.
It features a 2.0-litre MultiJet II Turbo Diesel engine that makes 170 bhp and 350 Nm and can be paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a nine-speed Automatic transmission, and has the option of 2WD and 4WD as well. It gets the usual 10.25-inch digital TFT gauge cluster, Premium Alpine sound system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and 8-way electronically adjustable ventilated leather seats with memory function.
Overall, the upgrade is just an aesthetic touch-up, but it is a Jeep Compass, and it always delivers on being a fun-to-drive car.
