New Delhi: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is going to get some major updates for 2026, specifically to their aerodynamics, suspension setup and chassis geometry as well. Along with the standard model, a more track-focused ZX-10RR with higher-spec hardware has also been introduced.
The biggest change in the 2026 ZX-10R is the redesigned bodywork, which now comes with winglets neatly integrated into the fairing. Kawasaki have claimed that this makes for 25 per cent more downforce than the previous version, improving the front-end stability by miles. The bike also comes with a repositioned ram-air intake and updated headlight design, giving the front profile a look more like the new ZX-6R.
Kawasaki have mentioned the chassis geometry has been revised in order to complement the aero changes, and included a 2mm increase in swingarm pivot height.
Suspension and braking hardware have been carried over, but with little change. It now comes with a 43 mm Showa USD fork that is the same as unchanged spring rates, but the height has been reduced by 2 mm, and damping settings have been adjusted accordingly. At the back, it comes with a fully adjustable Showa shock that have optimised spring rate, damping settings and linkage components.
An Ohlins mechanical steering damper that was just for the ZX-10RR is a standard on the base ZX-10R as well. The ZX-10R comes with new Bridgestone Battlax RS12 tyres.
As for electronics, it gets a new 5-inch TFT display, while the comprehensive rider-aid suite continues unchanged with traction control, launch control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, ride modes, power modes, bi-directional quickshifter and cruise control.
The ZX-10RR further distinguishes itself with Pankl lightweight pistons, titanium connecting rods, titanium-coated fork tubes, steel-braided brake lines, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres as well.
Both the 2026 Kawasaki ZX-10R and ZX-10RR are expected to launch globally around mid-2026. In India, Kawasaki offers the 2025 ZX-10R at Rs 20.79 lakh (ex-showroom), and this updated version is likely to arrive here soon.
