New Delhi: Kia India, one of the leaders in mass premium carmaking in the country, signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with ASDC (Automotive Skill Development Council). The MoU marks a milestone towards promoting industry-academia partnership, making a sustainable skilling ecosystem, and enhancing placement support.
Through EV adoption and customer experience being the focal point in India’s mobility transformation. The joint effort is expected to have a significant boost the workforce readiness in crucial areas.
The program is made to be an immersive 30-day training module that mixes classroom-based theoretical learning with practical experience on the job. It includes 15 days of foundational training at the ASDC-certified training centres covering important automotive-related concepts and functions of dealerships.
The training will include Kia-specific processes to accustom candidates to brand standards, systems and product knowledge. The curriculum also has 15 days of experiential education through authorised Kia dealerships with experts monitoring.

By creating a robust talent pool through structured training and certification, we are not only empowering India’s youth with meaningful employment but also reinforcing our dealer network with professionals who embody Kia’s values of quality, care, and innovation. Ultimately, this initiative will translate into a more seamless, informed, and rewarding journey for every Kia customer across the country.”
The partnership will demonstrate Kia India’s alignment in commitment with national skilling objectives. The specially designed curriculum also goes beyond conventional training and focuses more focused nurturing a new generation of automotive professionals who are both technically skilled and work in harmony with customer expectations.
The initiative is going to set new standards in terms of dealership workforce readiness while also giving youth skills and career opportunities. The co-developed learning model makes sure that candidates are able to have both technical and workplace skills from the start. Following the completion of the program, candidates will go through evaluation at the ASDC centre, get a certificate awarded by Kia India and ASDC and make them eligible for direct recruitment by Kia dealerships into Sales and Service roles.
