New Delhi: Nissan have announced that they will increase their prices across their model portfolio by around 3 per cent. The hike in prices will come into effect from January 1st, 2026. At the start of the year, Nissan Magnite had a price cut between Rs 52,000 to Rs 1 lakh owing to GST benefits.

The ex-showroom prices for the compact SUV stood between Rs 5.62 lakh and Rs 1076 lakh. From January, the prices could hike by at least Rs 17,000 to Rs 32,000, making the prices range between Rs 5.79 lakh and 11.08 lakh.

Nissan's big launches in 2026

For the upcoming year, Nissan have confirmed there will be three new launches for the Indian market. The first one, being a Gravite compact MPV, will be coming around March 2026. It shares the Renault Triber platform and, of course, will come with a redesigned exterior and different interior colour scheme as well.

The Gravite is also likely to share the Triber’s 1.0-litre petrol engine, which will be paired with a manual or an AMT gearbox.

Further, Nissan have confirmed that they will be showing their Creta competing SUV, the Tekton, in February 2026. It will be built on the CMF-B architecture, and the Tekton will share its underpinnings and petrol engine options from the Renault Duster.

The Japanese carmaker have also revealed plans to introduce a three-row SUV in 2027, which will be based on the same platform. This upcoming model is expected to be a sharing platform of the Renault Bigster or Boreal that is sold in international markets. Nissan’s announcement of a price hike comes amid a broader industry trend, with manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz, BYD and MG also raising prices owing to higher input costs and unfavourable exchange rate movements.
