New Delhi: The Skoda Kodiaq has now been launched at a new entry-level trim, called Lounge, which sits between the Sportline and Selection L&K variants, and instead of seven, it gets five seats. The Kopdiaq Lounge is set to be priced at Rs 39.99 lakh and gets some subtle interior and exterior changes, along with fewer features than the higher trims, though it is mechanically the same.

With the Kodiaq Lounge’s pricing, it is now the entry-level in the lineup, priced 3.77 lakh lower than the mid-spec Sportline and Rs 5.97 lakh less than the top-spec Selection L&K trim. The Kodiaq’s price range comes as per the new GST 2.0 rates, and now the top end goes as far as Rs 45.96 lakh.

Kodiaq Lounge interior and exterior

As a five-seater, the Skoda Kodiaq Lounge gets an increase in boot space from 281 litres to 786 litres.

Outside, the biggest change for the Kodiaq Lounge is that it gets 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels. Plus, the entry-level five-seat trim comes with only three exterior colour options: Moon White, Magic Black and Graphite Grey. The two trims above get Race Blue and Velvet Red options. The Steel Grey is unique to the mid-spec variant, and the Bronx Gold is only for the range topper.

Inside, the lack of a third row means it gets an increase in boot space from 281 litres to 786 litres, with the interior of the Kodiaq Lounge finished in grey and faux-suede and fabric upholstery. It gets a two-spoke wheel instead of the three-spoke wheel. The safety kits are the same as the other trims but leave out things like gesture control, tailgate, and 360-degree camera. Instead of the 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, it gets a 10.4-inch touchscreen and a 100W 9-speaker sound system.

Under the bonnet, it gets the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 204 bhp and the four-cylinder unit is mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that translates power to all four wheels.
