Car modifications have a newfound popularity among car buyers. No more is it a point of adding basic things like a music system or seat covers to your car since these things are already standard from the factory in most basic cars as well. But there are still a lot of practical things that one can do for not much money to enhance their vehicles.

While we do not condone altering your vehicle and highly recommend looking up the laws in your state for the rules regarding modifications, there are some mods which are just simple, practical additions.

Rain Visors

Rain Visors might look like aesthetic additions to your vehicle, but they hold quite a lot of practical use as well. Rain visors allow you to open windows without letting any of the rain in. This is pretty useful in areas with heavy rainfall. It also allows you to maintain the temperature outside and inside and keep your windows from fogging up.

Dash Camera

A dash camera has become more of a necessity rather than a want in cars nowadays. It should be one of the first mods done to the car, and there are plenty of options in a wide range of price brackets. A dash camera is an essential item when things go south and you need proof for an accident or mishap.

Tyres

Tyres are the only thing that keeps your vehicle in contact with the road. It's important to have good tyres, and the stock tyres that come with most cars leave a lot to be desired. There are a lot of upgrades in the market depending on your needs. For example, all 4x4 vehicles will benefit from some all-terrain tyres rather than all-season tyres.

Rubber Floor Mats

Many cars only come with carpet floor mats from the factory, and having rubber floor mats is an added benefit, especially for a country like ours. Rubber floor mats are more grippy and usually also cover a lot more carpet area inside your vehicle. They are also pretty easy to clean and can be hosed off if need be. They also take less time to dry, and floor mats are not that costly and are available for all sorts of cars from all sorts of brands.

Upgraded Speakers

While this is not a necessity, a good music system is still nice to have. From the factory, many cars come with very basic music systems and cost-effective speakers, but the aftermarket has you covered. While you can go crazy with your audio system in your car, there are plenty of easy-to-fit plug-and-play options available as well.
