New Delhi: It has been a year of car launches and the one ruled by the big and compact SUVs. However, in all of the humdrum of the big cats, we had some big supercars and hypercars being launched this year as well. Italians like Lamborghini and Maserati brought their flagship supercars to India as well.
Of course, even MG brought their Cyberster, which shows the broadening demand that exists at present for performance and electrified sports vehicles in India. It is a growing and well responding market, and big brands are finding their stand here.
In October 2025, Italy’s Maserati launched the much-anticipated MC Pura supercar in India. It came in both the hard-top Coupe and the open-top Cielo variant, and the MC Pura represents the newest of Maserati’s performance evolution, building on the legacy of the MC20, although it comes with sharper aerodynamics, enhanced dynamics, and a striking design.
It is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine producing around 630 hp, the MC Pura does a 0-100 km/h in under 3 seconds. The coupe’s ex-showroom price starts at approximately Rs 4.12 crore, with the convertible Cielo coming in at around Rs 5.12 crore.
Coming again from the Italian land was the Lamborghini Temerario, a successor to the Huracan. The Temerario is a plug-in hybrid V8 engine paired with electric motors, producing a combined 907 bhp. It has a top speed of 340 kph and can do 0-100 kph in 2.7 seconds. The car was officially launched in India with a starting price of around Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom).
The Temerario at launch was noted for being both track-ready and having the sensibility of being operated in a city centre. It was the addition of a new halo model to Lamborghini’s Indian lineup, and showed a shift of the brand towards hybrid performance while not taking away the reputation it has built itself on.
What has been one of the most exciting performance cars of this year has been the MG Cyberster, which was launched in India this year. It is a fully convertible electric vehicle that comes with an amazing design and fun-to-drive characteristics. It has been introduced at Rs 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom), and it is one of the most accessible in terms of sports convertibles at present.
It has already recorded a strong demand with over 350 units sold and has a waiting period of 5 months at least. Coming as a two-door sports EV roadster, it brings amazing performance while appealing with its electrification.
Ferrari brought a pure-bred V12 grand tourer in 2025 in India with the Ferrari 12Cilindri, and it perfectly celebrates the brand’s heritage. It is priced at Rs 8.5 crore and comes with a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine. As is the legacy of the brand, of making world-class engines, the 12Cilindri comes with just that.
The deliveries were to start in the second half of the year, making it one of the most high-end and performance-focused models brought to the Indian market this year. It reaffirms Ferrari’s intention of bringing a limited-edition, performance-centric machine to the Indian market.
Aston Martin’s Vanquish V12 is one of the most out there and best examples of a grand tourer. It blends together both the British elegance along amazing performance. It is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12; the Vanquish comes with immense power and effortless acceleration.
Coming to India this year, the engine makes 815 bhp and has a massive torque of 1,000 Nm. It can do 0-100 kph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 345 kph. It is mated by an automatic transmission that sends power to the back wheels.
