Cold wave conditions to prevail in six districts in Telangana

Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C at many places in the state over the next 2-3 days.

Hyderabad: Cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail in some places in Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak districts of Telangana, India Meteorological Department said. Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C at many places in the state over the next 2-3 days.

Misty, hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning and night hours in the city. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30°C and 14°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to be northerlies, north-easterlies with wind speed of 4-6 kmph.

Serilingampally records single digit temps:

In Hyderabad, HCU Serilingampally recorded single digit temperatures with 8.8°C followed by Rajendranagar at 10.7°C. BHEL recorded 11.1°C while Gachibowli, Maredpally recorded 11.7°C. Quthubullapur recorded 12.2°C and Jeedimetla recorded 12.7°C.

Sangareddy recorded 7.8°C followed by 8.3°C in Asifabad, Rangareddy recording 8.8°C, Medak 9°C, Siricilla 9.1°C, Adilabad 9.3°C, Kamareddy, Nizamabad 9.4°C, Nirmal 10.8°C, Karimnagar 11.5°C, Mancherial 12°C.
