Hyderabad: Cold wave and foggy conditions prevailed in Telangana and in Hyderabad as temperatures remained low. Bela in Adilabad recorded 9°C followed by Kohir in Sangareddy (9.2°C) while Rajendranagar in Hyderabad recorded 11.1°C.
IMD forecast:
Minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 2°C to 3°C at some places during next two days over Telangana.
Foggy conditions are likely to prevail at some places in Adilabad, Komarambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy districts at least till January 8.

As per the weather department, a low-pressure area has formed in the Indian Ocean and that it will intensify into a depression in the Bay of Bengal in the next two days.
According to the Amaravati Meteorological Centre, the well-marked low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east-equatorial Indian Ocean persisted on Tuesday morning.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move west-north-westwards and concentrate into a depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours.
Thereafter, it is likely to move further west-north-westwards across the southwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 48 hours.
Dry weather is likely to prevail over many places in AP and dense fog can be expected in one or two places. No change in minimum temperature is expected over Coastal AP, Yanam and Rayalaseema over the next five days.
