New Delhi: Ather Energy have announced their newest operating system, the AtherStack 7, during their Community Day 2025 event in Bengaluru, marking their biggest showcase of their emerging products, technologies and concepts. For the brand’s new version of proprietary software, there are a few range of features that target to improve convenience, connectivity and rider safety.

Ather have said that the Stack 7 will be coming across their e-scooter portfolio through over-the-air updates. The latest update to Ather’s software suite brings natural voice commands, proactive alerts and even sends pothole notifications that are powered by IMU sensors.

The biggest attraction, though, remains the Pothole Alerts powered with the onboard IMU system, with riders getting notified for potholes that are ahead through the dashboard and voice prompts. AtherStack 7 also brings Crash Alerts, which notify emergency contacts with live location details. Ather claims that it will be able to distinguish between both minor and major accidents. The displays of emergency contact will be on the dashboard for passersby to contact if the rider falls unconscious.

With theft and towing another concern from commuters, Ather are rolling out new security features as well. ParkSafe uses a database of common tow zones across the country in order to notify riders if a parking location is risky. LockSafe has a better experience with a theft-detection system that alerts owners when their vehicle is tampered with and can be immobilised through the scooter itself.

Ather have also brought the Infinite Cruise control, which mixes the Cruise Control, Crawl control and Hill Control. These come after the launch of Magic Twist, Auto Hold and Traction control. The Infinite Cruise will solve the problems of city commuting.

A big reveal was of the Rizta Z, which now comes with a touchscreen interface, with existing owners set to receive an OTA update that enables this feature, which had the hardware built in already. The Scooter also comes with a new Eco Mode for better efficiency, refreshed UI and even a new Terracotta Red dual-tone colour scheme.
