New Delhi: BMW are wrapping up the production of one their most favourite cars, the Z4. As the roadster heads into retirement, BMW are going to produce a limited Final Edition based on the Z4 M40i, and it will be a handful when it comes to pricing and would sit at a premium of the regular 2026 Z4 M40i. BMW will be offering the Z4 in just one setup.

Customers, though will have a choice of two transmissions, which are either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed Steptronic. The manual comes with the Edition Handschalter Package, which gets a unique software mapping for the back dampers, steering, traction control and M Sport differential.

Inside the bonnet, there’s a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine that makes around 382 bhp and 500 Nm of torque like any other M40i. It comes with a 19-inch front and 20-inch back Dual-Spoke Bicolour 800M wheels.

Every Z4 Final Edition will come wearing the same BW Individual Frozen Black metallic paint, with the Shadowline Package as standard. This adds gloss-black trim to the mirror caps, kidney grille, lower air intake and exhaust finishers. The Z4 features the Moonlight Black soft top and red brake callipers.

On the inside, the car comes with red contrast stitching on the instrument panel, centre console, floor mats, door panels and M Sport seats, which are trimmed in black Vernasca leather and Alcantara. The car gets unique door sill plates to make it more loud about being the Final Edition.

Features that would be standard are the Driver Assistance Package, the Harmon Kardon sound system and the Premium Package, which adds ambient lighting, a heads-up display and much more. The German brand will build the Z4 Final Edition from February to April of next year, and there will be very few samples of it.

BMW haven’t given the exact timeframe in which the Z4 will be at the end of the line. Toyota’s Supra, which is just the Z4 with a different badge, will also see the end of production in March. While Toyota have already committed that they are going to make a successor for the Supra, there is nothing yet confirmed by BMW.
