New Delhi: Land Rover have revealed prices of the MY26 Discovery SUV in India, which is now priced between Rs 1.26 crore and Rs 1.39 crore, ex-showroom. The British carmaker have introduced the new Gemini and Tempest editions, with the existing Dynamic S and Metropolitan Edition trims will get discontinued from 2026 onwards.
The Discovery Tempest edition comes with few exterior and interior design changes. It comes with 22-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with a Petra Copper shade, which is exclusive to just the edition. The roof and the “Discovery” lettering on the hood are finished in the same shade as well. The grille comes with updated hexagonal elements finished in Graphite Altas gloss hue.
The carmaker have given it a puddle lamp with a unique ‘Tempest’ symbol in this special edition model. It is also offered with exclusive finished silver door sill plates. The Tempest gets three exterior colour options Carpathian Grey, Varesine Blue and Charente Grey.
On the inside the Tempest edition comes with three hue colours like Ebony interior with Ebony headliner, Caraway interior with Light Oyster headliner and Light Oyster/Ebony interior with Light Oyster headliner.
The Gemini edition is the most cheapest in Discover lineip that comes in India in 2026. It gets 21-inch silver alloy wheels and a gloss black top, unlike contrast to the Tempest edition. Further, only the Gemini version gets silver skid plates with two hexagonal designs. It has a silver finish on its grille.
It comes in Sedona Red (new), Fuji White, Santorini Black, and Eiger Grey in addition to all other colour options, with the exception of Charente Grey, which is included with the Tempest edition.
On the inside it comes with a choice between leatheretter or fabric materials. Cabin themese include Ebony interior with Ebony healdiner, Light Oyster headliner and Light Oyster/Ebony interior with Light Oyster headliner.
Features in the Discovery Edition Gemini include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, 11.4-inch infotainment system, a 12-speaker Meridian sound system, along with three-zone climate control, powered steering column and 360-degree camera.
The Tempest Edition gets few extra features than this with a heads-up display, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, four zone climate controlm powered third row seats and a heated steering wheel.
All the variants in the Discovery will come with a 3.0-litre six-cylinfer turbocharged mild-hybrid diesel engine that makes 350 bhp to all four wheels through a nine-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. This means it can do 0-100 kph in 6.3 seconds.
The Discovery will be competing with the likes of BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE in India. It is a premium SUV no doubt but it still sits at the bottom of the offering from the brand.
