New Delhi: A week ago, Hero had listed that the Xtreme 160R 4V would come with cruise control on their website and revealed all the features it would come with, but there was nothing on pricing. The company has launched it as the top trim, coming with a premium of Rs 4,485 over the standard variant Xtreme 160R 4V.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control still comes with the same mechanical package of the standard version, including the 163.2 cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine making 16.9 bhp and 14.6 Nm of torque. It is in the feature list that it really steps up its game.
The variant also adds a ride-by-wire throttle system that lets cruise control, as we saw with the Xtreme 125R. The system comes with three riding modes, Rain, Road and Sport, which can be toggled through with switchgear, and there’s a new colour-LCD dash shared with the Xtreme 250R. It also comes with revised LED headlight, taking cues from the unit on the Xtreme 250R.
The Xtreme 160R 4V with cruise control gets four colour schemes: dual-tone bronze and black finish, dual-tone forest green and neon green, black with red highlights and the ‘Combat Edition’ matte grey colour that is exclusive for this trim. Hero offers some segment-first features that make it a little more premium. These also give it a little edge over rivals like the Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
