New Delhi: Hyundai have revealed the first official photograph of the second-generation Venue, giving the complete view of the interior and the exterior of the compact SUV. Price announcement for the Venue is set to happen on November 4th, and the company has started bookings with a token amount of Rs 25,000. While it still carries three engine options like before but it has been redesigned completely, and the interiors appear much more premium.

There’s a lot that has been changed in the new Venue, and with 3995mm in length, 18000 mm in width and 1665 in height, it is 48 mm taller and 30 mm wider than the present version. It gets much more boxy, with flared fenders to add to the look. It also has an increase in the wheelbase. The biggest changes are, of course, the completely redesigned Venue fascia, with an LED light bar coming with L-shaped DRLs extending to the main headlights, along with a bonnet-mounted Hyundai emblem, a rectangle-patterned grille. The interior has been updated, keeping with the styling of today.

The new Venue gets a striking figure with sharp character lines and much more chunky body claddings, as noted before. The biggest noticeable aspect of the front happens to be the edge-to-edge running LED light bar that drops down into the main, quad-beam LED headlamp cluster. It comes with a much wider rectangular new grille and a pronounced front bumper finished in silver with a lot more muscles. It comes with functional air vents on the bumper.

The sharp lines go over the wheel arches and have been taken from Tucson and the Exter. There is a lot of cladding near the door sills and even over the wheel arches, and it comes with rear quarter glass as well. The blacked out C-pillar also comes with silver garnish with the name inscribed on it, and the 16-inch alloy wheels is also coming with a new design.

The back gets a full-width LED light bar, much like the trend. It further gets contradicted by black trim, which comes with ‘Venue’ lettering in the middle. There is also the rear bumper that mimics the front with muscular details and dual-tone cladding, a bit of which even goes up to the tailgate as well. It also gets L-shaped reflectors on both sides.

Hyundai Venue interior and features

On the inside, the new Venue gets a curved display comprising two 12.3-inch screens, bigger than that there is on the Creta. Most importantly, Hyundai even gives a lot of physical buttons and dials on the centre console for HVAC and media and on the steering wheel as well.

The new steering isn’t coming with the Hyundai logo like usual, but gets four illuminated dots, which represent the letter ‘H’ in Morse code, something even the Ioniq 5 has.

The dashboard comes with a dual-tone theme, where the centre panel, again, is supposed to have ‘H’ with the vertical AC vents at the outer edges. Hyundai have given it a textured finish for the proper premium appeal, and also the word ‘Venue’ is inscribed on it. The centre console is redesigned to have buttons for the ventilated seats, parking camera, electronic parking brake and even drive traction modes, which are new to the Venue.

There is also ambient lighting in order to highlight some of the surfaces, like the dashboard and the centre console as well.

It also gets two-step recline for the back seats, rear window sunshade, new two-tone leatherette upholstery and front parking sensors as well. The longer wheelbase should also give Hyundai a better second row legroom.

Hyundai Venue powetrain

Venue is still the same in terms of its powertrain and gets three engine options, which are a 120 bhp making 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, an 83 bhp making 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 100 bhp making 1.5-litre diesel engine. The base model is likely to come with just a manual gearbox, while the turbo-petrol will have an option of a seven-speed DCT. Hyundai is also going to give a torque converter automatic with diesel this time.
