New Delhi: Porsche Macana Electric has been outselling the ICE this year, mostly because in Europe, the fuel-powered version is no longer sold in the European Union. With the ICE Macan being retired in 2026, it will leave it unchallenged within the setup. There is a fuel-powered crossover with a different name that is in development but won’t debut until 2028. As all this is happening, Zuffenhausen have decided to expand their EV portfolio.

Coming in as an all-wheel-drive, the Macan GTS will sit between the 4S and Turbo, taking the latter’s electric. Porsche have claimed that it has a combined output of 509 horsepower, which rises to 563 bhp with launch control and will have 954 Nm of instant torque since it's an EV. It can do 0-100 kph in just 3.6 seconds. The Turbo, though, is still half a second quicker.

Macan GTS Electric comes with more muscular rocker panels and also gets Lugano Blue in the colour options alongside Carmine Red and Chalk. With the world going electric, it is an interesting option to have, and Porsche are capitalising on their EV portfolio’s growth. Porsche Macan is a much more affordable option from the brand than the Cayenne and has always been a popular option for the brand since its launch.
