New Delhi: The 2025 Mahindra Bolero has been launched, starting at Rs 7.99 lakh ex-showroom. The updated Bolero SUV comes with some design revisions and added features on the inside, but is mechanically unchanged. Mahindra have even bought with this upgrade a new top-spec B8 variant.
In terms of pricing, the B4, which is the base variant, starts at Rs 7.99 lakh and the top spec is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh, falling just under the Rs 10 lakh bracket. The difference between the base model and to top variant is of Rs 1.8 lakh.
On the outside, the changes are almost minute, with the most obvious being the new 5-slat grille with chrome inserts. The Bolero now comes with fog lamps, from the B6 trim onwards and new 16-inch alloy wheels on the top variant. It even gets a new exterior colour, Stealth Black, along with the existing Diamond White, DSAT Silver Rocky Beige.
The biggest updates are on the inside, with the Bolero now finally featuring a touchscreen infotainment unit for media controls, although it doesn’t support either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also now steering-mounted controls, a USB-C type charging port, leatherette upholstery and bottle holders on the door trims. Across all variants, the Bolero still gets only two airbags.
2025 Mahindra Bolero powertrain
Inside the bonnet, it gets the same 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine that makes 76 bhp and has a maximum torque of 210 Nm. The rear-wheel-drive, ladder-frame SUV comes with a five-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra have said that the ride quality and the handling balance have improved in the latest upgrade.
In the sub-4-metre, body-on-frame segment, the Bolero remains unchallenged, and what’s more, it has the quality of being a utilitarian workhorse and has been a dependable car.
