The November sales follow the strong October performance, where Tata Motor’s according to Vaha data, had 74,705 units registered, securing the second place in India’s passenger vehicle retail sales. The October registrations represented an 82 per cent month-on-month increase from September’s 41,151 units.

Back in October, Tata Motors outsold Mahindra & Mahindra by 7,905 units and Hyundai by 9,660 units in retail sales, keeping the second-place position it had first reclaimed back in September 2025 following some intense competition.

Tata Motors Y-o-Y growth

The brand’s retail performance during the festive season benefited from the GST 2.0 reforms that came into effect in September, which reduced taxes on small cars to 18 per cent from 28 per cent. For cars like the Tata Nexon, this meant a total price drop of Rs 1.55 lakh along with other benefits.

Tata Motors has a wide range of vehicles in their portfolio, which includes the Punch, Tiago, Harrier, Safari, and the recently launched Curvv. The brand also maintains their strong lead in the passenger EV segment, holding around 40.9% market share as of August 2025. The sales figures include sales of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, which is a subsidiary of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.

With big launches lined up, including the Tata Sierra, and a 1.5-litre petrol version of the Harrier and Safari, things look promising for the brand.
