New Delhi: Toyota have revealed the Camry GT-S concept before the 2025 SEMA Show, which is scheduled to happen between November 4-7th in Las Vegas. The concept showcases a performance-oriented version of the US-spec Camry XSE AWD hybrid sedan that is on sale in the USA right now, with track-focused modifications, and Toyota have said it will be more than a SEMA one-off.
The Camry GT-S concept comes with the same 2.5-litre 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain as the current XSE, which makes 232 bhp. The aerodynamic package includes a sharper front splitter, side skirts, a boot-lid spoiler and an integrated rear diffuser as well. The concept sits 1.5 inches lower than the standard hybrid on adjustable coilovers and will come with 20-inch wheels with wide performance tyres.
The braking system have been upgraded with 8-piston callipers at the front wheels and 6-piston callipers at the back. The Camry GT-S concept features a custom “Inferno Flare” orange finish that is contrasted with black paint across the bonnet, wheels, roof and aerodynamic components.
Inside, it is much like the production version of the Camry, focusing the build’s aim to highlight the exterior design along with chassis tuning as a natural extension of the XSE trim. The cabin retains the XSE’s layout, including the digital cluster and 12.3-inch touchscreen.
While Toyota Kirloskar Motor might not bring the GT-S concept to India, the India-spec Camry itself has seen a sportier version in recent times with the arrival of the Camry Sprint Edition. It was launched at Rs 48.50 lakh and it came with a dealer-level accessory kit and continues to have the 2.5-litre strong hybrid engine like the standard Camry that was launched in December last year. The Indian Camry is also a front-wheel drive only.
