Hyderabad Police have registered cases against three sitting MLAs and two former legislators for violating model code of conduct during Jubilee Hills bye-election.

Two cases have been registered against MLAs Beerla Ilayya, Ramachandra Nayak and Ramdas at Madhuranagar police station, and one case has been registered against former MLAs Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and Methuku Anand at Borabanda police station, the police said in a statement.

The Hyderabad Police said that strict action will be taken against those who violate the election code of conduct as per the law.

Voter turnout in Jubilee Hills bypoll:

The voter turnout for the bypoll till 3 pm stood at 40.20 percent. The voting will end at 6 pm and the results will be declared on November 14.

Minor clashes in Borabanda, Vengalrao Nagar:

There have been minor disputes between BRS and Congress in Vengalrao nagar, Borabanda neighbourhoods of the constituency. Workers of both parties filed complaints against each other to the election commission.

In Rahmat nagar, videos of money distribution to voters have gone viral online.

Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi candidate Maganti Sunitha has alleged that vote rigging is taking place at polling stations and voters are being intimidated.
